BBA Shipping and Transport grew out of the shipping department of the British Bloodstock Agency. The BBA has been at the forefront of developments in international trade in horses since the formation of the company in 1911.
In the recent past, through relationships with organisations such as the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and the Japan Racing Association, it has helped make truly international racing possible.
The BBA Group has flown winners of the Japan Cup, Hong Kong International races, Turkish International races and the Melbourne Cup, as well as countless winners of races within Europe. We have imported the recent significant Royal Ascot winners from Australia and Hong Kong as well as all the Japanese raiders in the UK.
